Your information
Privacy at The Facility.
This notice covers the author contact form and email signup on The Facility website, operated by M. S. Tummolo.
Contacting the author
The contact form records your name, email address, message, and submission time. Messages are stored in the website’s private WordPress inbox and an email notification is sent to the author. These details are used to respond to your inquiry. Sending a message does not subscribe you to updates.
Email updates
When you sign up and agree to receive updates, your email address, signup time, and consent are saved privately in WordPress. The author can export this list to a newsletter service to send occasional news about The Facility. The signup form itself does not send newsletters or a confirmation email.
Storage and access
The website is hosted through GoDaddy. The website’s administrators can access the submitted information. Contact notifications are also processed by the website’s mail service and the author’s email provider. Information is kept for as long as it is needed for correspondence or the updates you requested. Hosting backups may retain copies for the host’s backup retention period.
Form protection
The forms use signed security tokens and a short-lived, hashed identifier based on the visitor’s network address to limit repeated submissions. The forms do not store the raw network address in the subscriber list or message inbox. The host and existing security services may separately keep access logs or use cookies.
Links to other sites
Amazon and Instagram links take you to those services. Their privacy practices apply when you visit them.
Your choices
To request a copy or deletion of information you submitted, or to leave the updates list, use the contact form. Include the email address associated with your request. The author may ask you to verify that address before making changes.
